Your final paper (arguing the value, necessity, or societal importance of your major/concentration) will ultimately be 5 pages in length. Now that you have made progress with your research through your annotated bibliography, it is time to begin outlining the structure of your paper. You will have an introduction paragraph first [where your thesis statement will be the LAST sentence of your first paragraph] and then any number of body paragraphs before your conclusion.
Body paragraphs will be separated by TOPIC, not by source--meaning that each body paragraph could use more than one source in it to support your argument for that paragraph, and it's important to make each paragraph topic distinct. For example, let's say the major you're writing about is nursing, and your thesis statement is arguing that neonatal nurses are important for establishing healthy and happy parents and children; what would be good body paragraphs to support that? You could have a body paragraph detailing the necessity of NICU training, or specify various problems common to the birthing process without proper support; another body paragraph could argue the stronger relationship between nurse and patient vs. doctor and patient; another could share accounts of success stories where a nurse caught or rectified a problem that would have otherwise been life-altering. No matter what your paper topic and thesis statement, you will have multiple body paragraphs supporting your overall argument.
To that end, completing an outline is an essential process in setting yourself up for success! Complete the attached outline [if you're having trouble with the technology, feel free to write/type it in a different document--whatever is easiest for you, as long as it includes all of the information].
