For this assignment, I would like you to read this Open Letter to President Obama Download Open Letter to President Obama written by a former law student about the high cost of education.

Then, answer the questions below and submit by 6:00 pm on the due date:

1. How do you think the former president, Barack Obama, would respond to the first paragraph of the letter? Do you think he would have a positive impression of the law student, Kiari Williams? Why or why not?

2. Provide an example of how the law student tries to insert pathos (emotional appeals), ethos (her credibility) or logos (logical appeals) in the letter. 

3. Provide an example of how the law student, Kiari Williams, tries to nod to the opposition? In other words, how does she try to show that she understand the objections of those opposed to her argument (her argument is that higher education should be less expensive.

3. What do you think Barack Obama's reaction to the letter would have been when he was president? The letter was written in 2008 and, for the purposes of this question, please assume that he read the letter.
