Patient: Maria is a 32-year-old female who is experiencing moderate low back pain due to postural changes and increased lumbar lordosis. She works a desk job and reports difficulty with prolonged sitting and standing. Her physician has cleared her for physical therapy and recommends conservative pain management.

During her third PT visit, the supervising physical therapist suggests considering interferential current (IFC) for temporary pain relief. However, during the pre-treatment check-in, Maria mentions that she is pregnant and asks whether the machine will be safe for the baby.

PT POC: Postural education, stretching and core stabilization exercises, activity modification, and pain management with modalities as indicated.
