The Public Argument Presentations

Overview
For this assignment, you will present what you’ve learned about the Public Argument topic you have been
researching, writing, and thinking about. Your presentation should last about 5-6 minutes.

Details
Make sure you provide some background information on the issue you are writing your Public Argument about,
as well as your intended audience. You should include some kind of visual element as well, like a brief PowerPoint of 4 - 10 slides, or any other graphics / short videos that you feel will be helpful. You may also read portions
of your public letter, or letter to an editor. or just explain your main points.

It’s up to you how you want to present your argument to the class. Just try to make it
informative, fun, and interesting.

Grading Criteria
The grade you receive will be based on the following presentation criteria:
a) clear and informative b) some part being interactive involving the class (either at the
beginning of your presentation, in the middle, or at the end, by either asking prepared
questions, inviting feedback, etc.), c) well-organized d) well-presented (do you maintain
some eye contact with the class, speak at a reasonable pace, not too fast or too slow,
pause when appropriate? If using Power Point or Prezi, do you use it effectively? We’ll
talk about the criteria for this in class).
