Rihanna's speech on philanthropy at Harvard University. This seems to be with the Harvard Foundation, which was run by Dr. S. Allen Counter, who was my housemaster when I lived up at South House in Radcliffe at Harvard, way back in the early 1970s... I remember him and his wife very well... He was an amazing guy

Among other activities, he was instrumental in the story of Mathew Henson.

And here is Shakira, giving a nice speech on education:

OK, so, what I would like you to do as you watch these videos, or perhaps after you watch them, is to connect them with any concepts you find from "The Speaker's Handbook." There are so many concepts that are covered in "The Speaker's Handbook," from vocal quality to organization to choice of words, to interaction with an audience, and so many more.
As you look for concepts from the textbook which are embodied or exemplified in these 3 speeches or conversations above, also think of yourself as a public speaker. Which aspects of your own speaking overlaps, emulates, or perhaps contrasts with any aspect of any of these speakers? Which aspects would you focus on as something you notice, something you admire, something you'd want to emulate or imitate or express in your own speaking, whether from a podium or in an interactive interview.
Please write up your impressions and your thoughts. Also, record a video in which you demonstrate those aspects of speaking which you have paid attention to, whether they are aspects you feel you are good at, or that you would like to improve on, or which you are bad at. Please explain to your audience--perhaps before, or after, or during--what aspects of speech you are demonstrating.
